Discover great beer, wine and delicious food at Cirencester's foodie public house, The Potting Shed Pub.
The Potting Shed Pub is an exciting venture situated 200 yards across the road from the Rectory Hotel in the village of Crudwell near Cirencester. Our philosophy is to focus on a classic British Menu, accompanied by a selection of quality, well-kept British ales and an extensive choice of wine, champagne and port – all served with a traditional warmth of service. It marks the rebirth of the traditional British Dining Pub, moving away from the 'over done' gastropub, focusing on the things that really matter: namely, a beautiful environment, great beers on tap, a concise and interesting wine list and of course fantastic food.

The Classic British Menu
Be tempted by Chef Dan Wyatt's rustic menu which reflects his love of local, seasonal ingredients. The produce used in our kitchens is organic where possible, locally sourced, and if at all possible, grown in our vegetable patch at the rear of the pub. All our dishes are handmade with care on the premises. Dan's specialties include hearty stews, traditional pies, and warming puddings.
Reasonably priced pub classics include terrine of local game, warming lamb casserole, hearty chicken & leek pie, plus beer-battered hake & award-winning steaks, both served with our handcut, triple-cooked chips. Fresh seafood options such as potted smoked mackerel, trout en papillote & Cornish crab risotto come straight from the coast; whilst vegetarians are well catered for with choices like wild mushroom ravioli & root vegetable gratin.
At lunch we offer more casual fare in addition to our normal menu, including sandwiches, burgers, ploughmans platters – even triple-cooked chip butties.
Puddings such as traditional hot fudge cake, jam roly poly or warm apple fritters provide a fitting end to a noteworthy experience.
The Hide
Whether to host a business meeting or simply relax around friends, "The Hide" is a stylish and versatile space for up to 15 guests and can be tailored to your requirements. No minimum spend is required and it is available, free of room hire, for mornings, afternoons and evenings.
The Barn

The barn offers soaring ceilings, large windows, its own service bar, and a private entry/exit door - as well as quirky lighting & antique collections to set the scene.
