I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The end result for me was an appreciation for how clothes are designed and put together. I learnt, I am not a clothes designer, however, I am glad to have done the course. I now feel confident enough to use the skills into adapting readymade patterns and clothing into fitting me perfectly. WELL WORTH the doing the course.

Never having been able to get jackets to fit as I am short and 'apple' shaped! I bought some private tuition from Judi. I did a saturday 'Taster' day with her a while ago. We worked on a bodice 'block' and she gave me directions as to how to use it against a bought pattern and now I have a fantastic jacket that I finished just in time for Christmas! Everyone says how slim I look in it!!

I recently attended the Introduction to Pattern Cutting course and enjoyed it so much that I stayed on to take the intermediate course as well! It was really interesting to discover how patterns are constructed and how they can be adjusted to provide different design features and to get a personal fit. It was a very sociable course and Judi is an excellent teacher. I'm now looking forward to making clothes which fit well and are exactly what I want.

Having searched the net thoroughly looking for beginners' sewing classes, I finally happened upon the Stroud School of Sewing and with some trepidation, because of the distance from my home, booked myself on a course.
Was it worth it? Heavens, yes! It is the most enjoyable course I have been on by far. Judi's teaching is brilliant - geared to the individual, encouraging and expert - the environment is lovely, I have already made things that I am pleased with and so enjoyed the first term that I have booked myself on a second.....
