Our Tennis Club Facilities
Following the club's £140,000 court resurfacing and floodlight extension scheme, completed in 2003, we are able to offer 6 (3 hard and 3 porous acrylic) all-weather floodlit tennis courts. This gives tennis enthusiasts real flexibility in terms of when and on what surface they play in the local Southbourne and Christchurch area.
Our comfortable clubhouse has changing rooms, a lounge and TV area with kitchen. Outdoors you'll find a sunny viewing terrace, practice walls and a free on-site parking area.
Tennis Coaching
Our extensive tennis coaching programmes cater for complete beginners all the way up to county standard players.
Southbourne Tennis Club employs 2 full time qualified tennis coaches and an assistant coach. David Sanger and Ray Burningham are qualified LTA level 2 tennis coaches. Ray has been accredited for the "Coach of the Year" award in 2004/2005 and David, holder of both the Dorset Single and Doubles titles for the last 4 years, has worked with many of the top junior players in Dorset and Hampshire having won his own first British title in 2002.
David and Ray offer a busy timetable of tennis coaching sessions, with both group based and individual lessons available.

Here at Southbourne Tennis Club we make great efforts to develop local junior talent; in partnership with the Bournemouth and Christchurch schools link programme, we share a vision to find the national tennis players of tomorrow. In the past we have won many junior single and group tennis league tournaments.
Holiday Training Camps
Available during Summer and Easter school holiday periods our tennis camps for young people aged between 4 and 17 are always popular and always oversubscribed. We welcome all standards and abilities, but you do need to book early in order to avoid disappointment. Check our main website diary page for future events.
