Cheshire Jets are delighted to announce that they have signed 24 year old Keith Page, a 6’3” Manchester-born guard, for the forthcoming BBL season.  Page successfully represented Manchester Magic in EBL1 last season, averaging 17 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists per game and shooting 44% from the field

Keith was born and brought up in Manchester and was part of the successful Magic programme at the Amaechi Basketball Centre for many years – playing in the England International team at U14 and U16. In 2005 he crossed to the USA to further his basketball education, where he played for a year with Blair Academy, before joining  Ursinus College Bears who play  in NCAA Division 3,  between 2006 – 10.

Coach John Lavery is delighted to be welcoming Keith on board;
"Keith had a great season last year with Manchester Magic, and  I have no doubt he will make the move of stepping up to the BBL with confidence as he is a very smart and intelligent basketball player.  We are very pleased to have him on board for the coming season and look forward to him contributing on both ends of the floor"

He added
“the particular strengths of Keith’s game are his energy and work ethic, both on offence and defense as well as the practice floor. His passing ability is a strong point as well as his ability to score by making jump shots and attacking the rim.”

Keith was no less delighted to be joining the Jets.

“I've lived in the North West my whole life and came up through the Manchester Magic youth programme before going to the USA, so signing for the Jets just seems like taking that natural next step and playing my first season in the BBL. My personal targets are just to try and work hard, and to improve as much as I can and do my best, contributing to the team effort.“

Keith certainly comes from good quality basketball stock, His elder sister, Julie also plays pro ball and is part of the GB women's team.

Keith will join up with the rest of Jets’ roster in the near future, as they start the build-up to the season with a triangular tournament in Plymouth, involving the Jets, the Raiders and top Swedish outfit Sodertalje Kings on 25th September
