So how do you convert what was a tired old pub into a modern, state of the art restaurant? Well, it takes a little bit of money, of course, but more importantly it takes the right concept, the right team, and the right materials.
The Red House utilises the same glass used in the Swiss Re ‘Gherkin’ building in London. Without sounding too nerdy, it has the same ‘u-value’ as a block wall, which means that it can retain an ambient temperature all year round. This allows our guests to enjoy the fantastic view while staying cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
There has been no compromise either on other elements of the restaurant design. From the use of Andrew Muirhead leather on the furniture, to the colour change LED lighting that creates the perfect mood and ambience, to the terraced decking ‘Pods’ in the river garden, to the taps in the ladies toilets that change the colour of the water!
The Red House Brasseries at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and at Metro Centre in Gateshead are the latest addition to The Red House family, and incorporates the same quality design and attention to detail.
