This English restaurant offers Michael's award winning dishes in stylish surroundings with panoramic views of the famous racecourse, Chester and the surrounding countryside from the 26 cover outside terrace. A further 76 diners can be comfortably seated indoors.
Michael Caines Restaurant is the centrepiece of the ABode Hotel in Chester. Located on the 5th floor, with wonderful, panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, this is a special place to come to enjoy English restaurant cuisine of the highest order.
Service is friendly and efficient without being overly formal. A glass-fronted, temperature-controlled wine room is a feature offering more than 150 wines.
The contemporary design complements perfectly the English restaurant cuisine, utilising classic techniques developed at Gidleigh Park and using only the finest local produce.
Stuart Collins, the ABode Chester Executive Chef, who worked with Michael at Gidleigh Park, and then with Gordon Ramsay first in London and then in New York, oversees the kitchen to deliver truly exciting, brilliant and consistent cuisine.
In addition to the à la carte and tasting menus, the Restaurant features the acclaimed Michael Caines dining concept of "grazing menus", whereby smaller portions of dishes from the à la carte menu can be enjoyed in either the Restaurant or more informally in the Champagne Bar.
Private dining is available, and the entire 5th floor can be booked for exclusive use for upwards of 240 guests.
