Four 70+ grandmothers had geat weekend! Staff very friendly, rooms very cosy and clean, menus and service in restaurant very good. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room made us feel years younger!!

We got a great deal for a weekend dinner, B+B at the craxton wood hotel and were really looking forward to a chilled out weekend with our little boy. We chose this hotel as we have stayed in macdonald hotes before and have been impressed with their standard. We wanted somewhere in chester and the location of this hotel is great- just a few minutes drive from cheshire oaks, blue planet aquarium etc. We stayed in a classic family room and it was really roomy so plenty of space for our 21month old to play. It was really quiet and beds were comfy, so we slept well both nights. Breakfast was fantastic so much so that we both felt full all day we ate so much!! Dinner at the restaurant was delicious both nights and service was superb. We made use of the hotel pool both mornings and my little boy loved it!! Staff were so nice yet professional and every single one of them couldn't do enough to help and provided a better standard of service than we have experienced at much more expensive so-called 5 star hotels. We had a lovely weekend and will be returning very soon. Highly recommended :)

My husband and myself recently stayed at the Craxton Wood Hotel Chester as a birthday treat. We were not disappointed. On arrival at the hotel the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The hotel facilities were very good, especially the use of the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff on duty. The only downside to our stay was that it's location was a little bit isolated and about a fifteen minute drive into Chester centre, however we had a very relaxing stay and wouldn't let it put us off staying there again.
