Mark and Elizabeth developed their interest in uncomplicated regional dishes over many years while resident in Rome. Mark's Italian lineage is from his maternal grandfather, Luigi, head of the deCecco family, some of whom emigrated over the years to the UK, but with the family, and its property owned through several generations, in the small town of Fanna, in the heart of the Friuli/Veneto area, near to Venice

La Cantina provides a little bit of Italy in the heart of Chester in a relaxed & enjoyable atmosphere:

Opening Hours

Tuesday 11:00am to 3:30pm

plus Tuesday afternoons and evenings by prior minimum 24 hour reservation for dinners or events and parties (business or social)

Wednesday to Saturday 11:00am to 3:30pm and 6:30pm to 11:00pm also all the way through on Saturday afternoon

Sunday and Monday - Closed - other than prior 24 hour minimum reservations for lunch, dinner, or events/parties, day or evening, minimum spend £75 per booking
