What a way to spend an evening being pampered and relaxing in the most tranquil of places. Everything about the Spa makes you feel a special individual. I look forward to by next treatment. Kind Regards, Rhiannon Robertson-Wade, Account Director, Redwood Ltd
This hotel was recommended by a friend of my mother's. We were uncertain as to what to expect as recommendations do not always meet up to expected standards. However, our expectations were well and truly met, and even surpassed. There was absolutely nothing we could find fault with. Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, nice and warm and serviced on both days to the highest standards. The quality of the food in both the breakfast bar and in Nelson's was excellent and of the highest standard. We were very impressed with all your members of staff - without exception, they were all extremely pleasant and terrifically efficient. It was nice to see a little bit of Britain which actually worked and maintained good old fashioned standards, the like of which seems generally to be in short supply these days! We will certainly be returning.Hotel Guest, November 2009
Has to be the gem in Chester’s crown! We stayed here for two nights to combine a leisurely visit to Erddig on the Sunday and to do some Christmas shopping on the Monday. We have stayed in Chester before - in at least 5 different hotels. In our opinion none came close to the high standard we experienced at the Grosvenor Pulford. All members of staff were friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast even impressed my husband - who believe me is an expert on his indulgence of a cooked breakfast when we are away. We ate in the Hotel Bistro one evening and the more informal bar on the second. Choice and standard of food was excellent, well presented and served without exception by obliging staff. The public areas of the hotel are well maintained and overall the ambience of the hotel is one of class and relaxation. Unfortunately we did not have time to indulge in the Spa facilities but we intend returning after New Year to re-charge our post-Christmas batteries.Hotel Guest, November 2009
Booked this hotel for a three night break, to include New Year. Arrived on 30th December to roaring fires and very tasteful Christmas decorations. Our executive room had a lovely large seating area with two arm chairs, a desk from which we enjoyed free wifi and a flat screen tv. The bathroom was modern with a powerful, fixed head shower over the bath. The Gilchrist and Soames toiletries were replenished daily as were the biscuits on the hospitality tray. This was much appreciated. There are two dining choices - Ciro's Brasserie and the Nelson’s gastro pub. We ate in both and were impressed with the food which we feel represented very good value for money when considering the large portions and the excellent standard of the local produce used. We visited Chester and Cheshire Oaks Designer outlet - two great days out. This hotel is very conveniently located for many attractions. The gym is well equipped, although quite small it had everything we needed. The pool is beautiful and large. We did not use the spa and so cannot comment. To summarise, this is a true 4 star hotel that goes the extra mile in food and service. Every member of staff we encountered was polite and served us with a smile: all so often a rarity now. This is so much more intimate than all of the 4 star chain hotels we have stayed in over the years. We cannot wait to return and recommend this hotel unreservedly.Hotel Guest, December 2009
