At a critical time for the business on our new apprenticeship project, Footprint were able to provide interim management at short notice to replace a key individual. Their expertise has allowed them to provide support with all elements of setting up this business, from liaising with the Learning and Skills Council and Awarding Body, to the creation of internal budgets, and the recruitment of staff to establish the apprentice team for the long term. They have proved highly flexible at the end of the assignment, providing a good handover and support for the new management team; their open and honest approach to our requirements has been an important factor in this. Footprint group have been instrumental in the creation of business plans for new units within the organisation. As well as working to shape ideas with the management team and steering groups, they have been key to the creation of realistic business plans with clearly identifiable deliverables and robust financial plans.
In addition, Footprint's experience in acquisitions has allowed them to very quickly provide an invaluable insight into our potential targets. Their expertise in both operational and financial areas has been an important element to the way in which we have approached these projects; they have been key in establishing values for these companies. I think many managers view 'consultants' with some degree of cynicism and I am pleased to say that from both my experience and that of colleagues who are working with Footprint it would appear that this view does not apply with this team.
