I want to record my gratitude and congratulations to Amy Rowlands and the team at the Hotel for a truly excellent 'Captain's Table' dinner held on Thursday. It was an excellent evening with all the components that are required for a first class occasion in full abundance. The dining room atmosphere and setting were first class as was the service and the excellent wine that complimented a menu of real distinction. Many congratulations to everybody concerned but especially to Amy for orchestrating it so well. I know I will return in the not too distant future, especially for very special occasions.

Wonderful hotel, rooms excellent with very modern bathrooms we even had a view of the racecourse the only down fall was we booked a desire package that included breakfast and a two course meal in the downstairs bistro there was a separate menu for the desire package which was very limited. The main had 1 fish, 1 vegetarian and one meat which had a £2.50 supplement we ordered off the main menu my wife having a caesar salad and I having a burger which on checkout cost more than the allowance allowed for the desire package so a supplement was paid. This is my only fault as the breakfast was wonderful even though all the items were on the small side, small egg, small slice black pudding, tablespoon of beans, etc but this is signature chef dinning you pay for the name and presentation not value for money.

We have stopped here 3 times in 7 months and we love it!! Quite how you can find it hard to find when its located in HQ CHESTER I dont know???? and car park is easy to find if you look properly :) We will definately be going back, food is lovely, bar is fantastic and rooms are brand new and very very clean and comfortable and you get that I'm the first perdson ever to stop in this room! Keep up the good work.
