Part of the ‘North Cheltenham Team Ministry’, All Saints’ Church upholds the Christian Mission to worship and serve the Gospel of Christ, as well as growing the community and sharing news throughout. The church is situated on the northern edge of central Cheltenham, within walking distance of the town centre and with easy access for disabled visitors.

Designed by John Middleton, All Saints’ Church was built in the late 1800s. It stands to serve the local residents of Pittville, with the aim to provide a style of worship that was generally not found in 19th Century Cheltenham.

The church is grounded in local history and is decorated with celebratory carvings and works of design. Famously, the Cathedral-sized organ was once played by Adolf Von Holst, father of the great composer and musician Gustav Holst, who was baptised in All Saints’ himself. The Holst Museum is also nearby.

The Friends of All Saint’s Church also help run and organise school events, concerts, an enthusiastic Scout troop, the PPY youth charity, and a pre-school play-group during term times. Please contact the church for more information.

All Saint’s Church is part of the North Cheltenham Team Ministry with the Parish of Prestbury, the Parish of St Lawrence, Swindon Village and St Peter, and the Parish of St Mary Magdalene, Elmstone Hardwicke with Uckington. The North Cheltenham Team Office (01242 244373) is housed at St Nicolas Church, Prestbury and is staffed weekday mornings. For weddings and baptisms, inquirers can visit the office on Saturdays between 10.30am and 11am.
