They are a traditional fish and chip shop with traditional food but at a very high standard. All their cod and haddock is skinless and boneless and they fry in pure groundnut oil which makes everything lighter and crispier.
They cook fish to order to guarantee freshness and their batter is thin and crispy. All food is probed to make sure it's to the correct temperature before it's served and their chips are cooked fresh; if they think they are past their best they get thrown away.
Their potatoes are bought from local British farmers and they test all the types of potato the supplier has throughout the year and choose the one they think is best at the time.
Their most popular fish is the best quality frozen at sea cod, which is much fresher than 'wet fish' which is fish that isn't frozen. Their cod and haddock comes mainly from around Iceland and the Barent sea and is frozen within 20 minutes of being caught, so when they get it, it is still wonderfully flaky.
