Chelmsford City FC mourn the loss of former youth manager

Mourners will pay their last respects to former Chelmsford City youth manager, Ted Revell this week.

 

Ted came to Chelmsford City Football Club in 1976, managing the youth club until 1987.

 

He was diagnosed with diabetes in 1970 and helped raise much-needed funds for local diabetes and breast cancer charities. He also suffered from dementia in the last years of his life.

 

Ted died at the age of 87 in the early hours of the morning on Friday 28th January 2010.

 

On Saturday's Chelmsford City game, players held a minute's silence to remember Ted.

 

The funeral will be held on Friday 18th February at 11.45 am at Chelmsford Crematorium.
