It’s less than a month to go until Chelmsford’s night sky is lit up with fireworks for Bonfire Night 2011.

Here in Chelmsford, there are a number of fireworks displays taking place in and around the town.

Chelmer Valley High School Fireworks Display & Spectacular

The first is the Chelmer Valley High School Fireworks Display & Spectacular on Friday 4th November. There is a bar, BBQ, refreshments and a variety of stalls to keep you and the kids occupied, before the fireworks display, which starts at 8pm.

All money raised on the night will be put back into the school.

Chelmsford Fireworks Display

With the gates opening at 6pm and the fireworks being set off from 7:30pm, The Chelmsford Round Table’s annual Fireworks Night is being held in Admirals Park on Rainsford Road on Saturday 5th November and aims to raise thousands of pounds for charity. Generally regarded as the biggest and best fireworks displays in the area, this year’s event will include the Heart FM Roadshow live on stage, fairground rides and hot and cold food.

Tickets cost £6 per adult and £4 per child or you can purchase a family ticket for £15.

Danbury Fireworks

Again on the 5th November, Danbury Fireworks are taking place at Danbury Outdoors (formerly Danbury Youth Camp), with the aim of raising funds for Danbury Scout Group and other local organisations and community groups.

There are a variety of other attractions, including a giant bonfire, fairground, live stage, real ale beer tent and various food stall.

Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks display takes place at 8pm. Tickets can be bought in advance from local outlets for £6 for adults and £3 for children, or on the gate for £7 and £3.
