Set in 500 acres of rolling Carmarthenshire hills is one of the finest attractions in Wales, The National Botanic Garden of Wales housing unique plant collections from around the world, with a range of educational areas for the whole family to explore.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales was the first national botanic garden to be created in the new millenium and has so much to offer visitors young and old. If you have never visited Wales number one attraction then it's time to come and see what's going on here at this 'modern wonder of Wales' just a few minutes off the M4.
Voted Number One Attraction in Wales
We are the most visited garden in Wales and were voted the number one attraction in Wales by readers of the Western Mail. As well as encouraging visitors to come and enjoy the plants in the Great Glasshouse, the world's largest single span glass house, much of our work is about education and conserving endangered species for future generations.
We particularly welcome families; children love the pond dipping, willow play area and the Education Zone where they can use the interactive displays to find out more about plants. We often have events aimed at children on during school holidays.
Tuck in to local, seasonal snacks and meals in our restaurant.
In our Seasons Restaurant you'll find plenty of dishes using organic and local ingredients on offer, most of which are prepared from scratch in our own kitchens. Vegetables and herbs are used from the Double Walled Garden when in season.
Do take time to explore our website which tells you more about the plant collections, the story of the Garden and how you can get more involved.
