At Gorslas between Carmarthen and Llanelli is a new kind of farm shop. Opened in February 2009, Cwmcerrig Farm Shop & grill offers a fantastic selection of local farm produce for the people of Carmarthenshire.
The Watkins family bought Cwmcerrig farm in 1952 and began growing vegetables and selling them locally. In recent times the farm has focused more on livestock with beef, sheep, pork and Christmas poultry.
With a large extended family involved in the farming enterprise and wanting to secure and develop markets for the next generation, the Watkins family took the decision to invest in a £900,000 farm shop and grill. The result is unlike anything else in the County.
