Friday night saw me at the Apollo Cinema in Carmarthen for a special event in aid of Breast Cancer with Quicksilver, Debehams, Temple Clothing and Pizza Express.
It began in the foyer with a wonderful tasty array of nibbles courtesy of Pizza Express. Many were getting in the summer mood with mojito cocktails or a glass of champagne.
At 7.30 we went into Screen 3 and enjoyed a fashion show with clothes from Quicksilver, Tempo Clothing and Debenhams. Unfortunately I could not stay for the film Sex and The City but it was well subscribed to and a fun evening had by all.
The Apollo Cinema are now also showing the Best of Europe Opera and Ballet on the Big Screen. At Carmarthen they will be showing live recordings from Teatro Alla Scala, Teatro Carlo Felice, the Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro la Fenice and Teatro Region de Palma and finally from Salsburg Festival.
The next showing will be Swan Lake from the Mariinsky Theatre on Sunday 27th June at 2.30pm and Monday 28th June at 7pm and in July you will be able to watch Rigoletto from Teatro Regio di Parma.
