Spring Celebration! - February Half Term
The Romans and the Celts regarded February as the start of Spring. Learn more about the ways the Celts celebrated this special season by observing the landscape around them.
What can you see outdoors that might symbolise the brand new spring season? Become a nature detective in Tullie's gardens, and list the plants and trees you can see and the birds you can hear. Visit the Wildlife Dome and see how many springtime animals you can spot.
Join Tullie staff to make a "springy time" creature ... Clue: it is the colour of spring and it 'springs' about!
Be inspired by Tullie's treasures and create a 'souvenir' of your visit to take home. Activities are craft based, and you need no special skills or knowledge to join in.
Our drop-in sessions run from 1pm - 4pm, and explore our collections in fun, imaginative ways.
Activities are linked to current exhibitions.
Activities are free, but normal admission charges apply to the galleries. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
There may be some queuing, so please be prepared to wait patiently.
