Medieval Valentine's Day - February Half Term
Valentine's Day is certainly not soppy at Tullie House! Legend tells us that King Arthur reigned in Cumbria; visit our Way of the Warrior exhibition and discover what an Arthurian knight's armour looked like according to the King Arthur film. As we all know, a knight needed a lady to serve; you can find out all about her costume too!
Make a replica of the medieval betrothal box found in our Border Galleries ... give it to your loved one, or keep it to store your own treasures in!
Be inspired by Tullie's treasures and create a 'souvenir' of your visit to take home. Activities are craft based, and you need no special skills or knowledge to join in.
Our drop-in sessions run from 1pm - 4pm, and explore our collections in fun, imaginative ways.
Activities are linked to current exhibitions.
Activities are free, but normal admission charges apply to the galleries. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
There may be some queuing, so please be prepared to wait patiently.
