CEREMONIES
Tullie House is the ideal place to hold your wedding. The converted Jacobean mansion is a Grade I listed building, set in delightful gardens overlooking Abbey Street, and close to the centre of Carlisle. We offer a cultural environment that brings a unique atmosphere to your big day.
The Morning Room and Victorian Theatre are licensed for Civil Ceremonies, and will cater for between 30 and 100 guests respectively. (The Theatre has an impressive bridal entrance, and tiered seating)

Our wedding facility charge includes flowers in the marriage room to tone with your colour theme; a sound system to play music of your choice and the services of our wedding co-ordinator to ensure the smooth running of your special day. Whatever the season, the delightful gardens of Tullie House will make the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs. To enhance your ceremony consider offering your guests a celebratory glass of wine or champagne, or continue your day with us by having a meal, buffet or evening reception.

In summer evenings take advantage of our private garden for outdoor entertaining with a buffet meal or a barbecue.
RECEPTIONS
Wedding receptions benefit from our excellent restaurant facilities and on-site bar, and we can accommodate parties of up to 100 during the day, and up to 150 for evening receptions - larger parties, of up to 300 can be catered for with the option of drinks and canapés receptions for up to 300 people in the atmospheric setting of the Art Gallery.

Our flexible approach means that we can design your reception to perfectly suit your needs - The Function Room is available for smaller parties of up to 50 and we can provide everything from formal wedding breakfasts to afternoon teas and evening buffets with a ceilidh, band or disco and even the dancefloor!
