Eden Valley Hospice is one of the region's best known and highly respected charities. As well as caring for patients with many forms of life-limiting illnesses from throughout Cumbria and SW Scotland, it also runs Eden House, the only children's hospice in Cumbria. The impact of a life-limiting illness is on all who surround the person who has the illness. The staff at Eden Valley Hospice provide a range of care and support to help the patient, family, friends and carers to get the most out of whatever time is left.
The emphasis is on palliative care with the clinical team providing comfort, support and relief from many distressing symptoms for its patients and the highly experienced Hospice staff aim to improve the quality of life for the patients through the provision of support, counselling and respite for all concerned.
