Good Evening Carlisle

I recently came across a fantastic venue which has so many facets to it I thought I should tell you all about it on the Blog.

Club35 is an historic Grade II Listed Building in Carlisle town centre that for a mind-blowingly small membership fee can provide you with a wealth of entertainment.

It has a regular Live Music Slot and indeed has become home to the County's thriving Blues scene with the likes of King King, Marcus Malone and the Mitchie Lddie Trio appearing. If you are an upcoming music band, you should get in touch with Steve or Vanessa at Club35 and get yourself in the spotlight.

Club35 is child-friendly - and by that I don't mean they serve them up for supper! - but isn't it nice to know that you can take the kiddies somewhere, even on Carlisle FC match day and know that they will be safe and you'll have a good time, hmm?

In addition, Club35 has rooms available for you to host your own party, wedding, Christening celebration in - and the BEST bit about this is that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE FOR ROOM HIRE - just how fantastic is that?

This sounds very interesting. However, I will never return to Carlisle following the shabby treatment I received on appealing a parking ticket. Of course word of mouth travels rather further than the dismissive standard letter received from the City Council so the members of my party, doctors, company directors a couple of lawyers and a banker will be the first to note my dismay. Of course, I don't care where I dine out during my fishing holiday, it could as easily be in Hexham, Langholm or Newcastle, but the point is simply that your City are letting you down through its curious parking policy and the harsh "justice" meted to visitors. It started a few moments ago when my wife and children cancelled the bed and breakfast accommodation planned for a walk along Hadrians Wall..... report abuse...

It's a shame your visit to the city was clouded by the experience following a parking ticket incident, and your comments in this area are very welcome indeed. Apart from having to live within the various restrictions, businesses are affected too (The City Council was even proposing removing car parking from within the areas surrounding the Cathedral, which would seriously affect local trade.) Your comments reflect a general feeling within the residential and business communities of Carlisle, and I'll make a point of passing them on to the Council. report abuse...
