CADAS success in Big Lottery Bid.

With so much doom and gloom around these days concerning cuts in essential services, it's a breath of fresh air to hear some good news now and again.

CADAS have been successful in their Big Lottery Bid!  The £445,000 over three years will give the organisation a great platform to build on, and allow further development of CADAS services into the community, with the creation of a new full-time Community Development Worker post.

Paul Brown, Director of CADAS commented that "...the tremendous news....is good for the organisation, volunteers, the Community in general and for individual clients.  We will train local people who will gain confidence and new skills so that they are able to help those in their community who have problems with drink and drugs and want to make positive changes to their lifestyle."

If you are concerned about the effect drink or drugs may be having on you, your family or friends, contact CADAS on 01228 899358 for confidential advice.

Well done CADAS! It is so tough to get funding nowadays and the services you provide to the people of Cumbria without prejudice and mostly for free are invaluable. I hope that you continue to thrive. report abuse...
