‘We are really pleased to be hosting a coffee morning for Jigso,’ said Pam Evans, Clynfyw Care Farm’s Project Worker. ‘Some of the best days we have held here have been their Family Farm Days which have been a lot of fun!’

Jigso Children’s Centre in Cardigan has been supporting children and families from southern Ceredigion, north Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire since 1992, providing training, activities and support for people who really need it. With enthusiastic, hardworking and busy staff and volunteers, Jigso is an independent charity which depends on fundraising and donations for their continued success.

‘Jigso engaged with over three hundred different families last year and six hundred different children, which  shows the need for what Jigso has to offer’ said Linda Grace, Chair of Trustees. ‘We had a hugely successful summer holiday program and have big plans for the autumn and winter ahead.’

Clynfyw Care Farm’s holds coffee mornings on the second Friday of each month for different charities. The next event, on November 14th, is for the British Legion. Clynfyw also run a Social Club each Tuesday evening which replaces Cardigan's Gateway Club which closed earlier this year.

‘We have seen Jigso grow and develop so much over the last twenty years as the needs of our community change,’ said Linda. ‘Our main aim is to provide support for children that enhances their life chances. This, of course, includes support and training for whole families. We have a wonderful team who work so hard and our Friends of Jigso is expanding too. Maybe we will find more Friends at the Clynfyw coffee morning. We do hope so!’
