Fantastic food every time, they never fail to deliver. Staff are always helpful and you are made to feel "at home" as soon as you walk in the door. Plenty of menu choice, even for me as a vegetarian, using fantastic local produce. We had friends staying for a week in Cenarth, we took them for a meal here and they were so impressed they went back three times. That's as good a testimonial as you can get.

It's a great pub - which I have to walk two miles to get to - drink a few fine ales - where I can walk them off on the way home - perfect.

We were struggling to find a pub that served reasonably priced food and had a safe beer garden so our son could play. Until we found the Nag's Head of course! The food was delicious and there was a good vegetarian choice. And not only was there a fenced in beer garden but it also had swings, a slide and a playhouse. Fantastic!
Having lived in the area for 26 years and now is a resident of Monmouth, I am a regular customer to the establishment that is one of the very best of its kind. Consistently excellent food, real ale, warm welcome. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It’s an example of how a small business should be run- Sam is a shining example and long may she continue.

The Nags Head became our local during our holiday in June 2010. very friendly barstaff, terrific food and most of all they served our favourite drink leffe at a very decent price.
The Nags Head serves great food in good surroundings with a good selection of very reasonably priced drinks. The best thing for me was the wonderful staff, cheerful, happy, friendly and very welcoming.

We stopped for Sunday lunch on the way back from a friend's holiday cottage (the driving instructions mentioned the pub as a good place to eat) and were delighted with the quality of food, portion size and the bill!

My partner and I love going to the Nags Head, we can't afford to go out for food often, but when we do there is only one place we rate highly and thats The Nags Head. They do the best food ever. I always tell my clients about it when they ask me where is a good place to go out for food.In our opinion there is no better place to go.
Regularly eat at The Nags Head and am never disappointed.The food is always of excellent quality with generous portions. Prices are reasonable and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Try the real ale and Gwynt Y ddraig, welsh cider, hic.
Ate at the nags head recently,the location is fab right by the river.The atmosphere was great and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.The food was exceptional,they have many specials on the blackboard,and also serve real ales which are changed weekly. They have a varied sweet menu many are home made,the chocolate cheesecake is to die for.!!!
