Sully Car Boot Sale is impressive

On Sunday still basking from a very enjoyable trip to the Cardiff City Stadium to enjoy the 4-0 defeat of Scunthorpe, I thought that I would pop to the Sully Car Boot Sale as the sunny weather looked fixed to continue.

I was not disappointed - when people say that it is one of the biggest in the UK on a sunny day they are absolutely right!  There were hundreds and hundreds of car exhibitors and a huge number of visitors looking for bargains.

This boot sale has left the traditional car boot sales of Splott and Bessemer Rd well and truly behind.

I had heard of it for a while, that it is massive,  but I had never been until earlier this Summer as I thought I would check it out before taking some stuff of my own at some point.

I was so impressed that I took "a boot full"  the following week - it was hot but as I made more than £100 profit I wasn't complaining!!

It you have never been,  it is worth a visit as a curiosity - you not only never know what you might find that you like - car booting is very personal -  but the views of the sea and an easy to park experience make it pleasant and I recommend the bacon bap at the food stand.  It is easy to find just drive into Sully from the Cardiff side prior to Noon.

You do not have to see every table (that takes at least two hours) but if you go early between 8am-9am you can be home without really impacting on a precious Sunday.

Anyway - if you do go in the next few weeks let me know how you get on.

Just in case anyone is thinking of selling at or visiting the Sully Car Boot Sale - please be aware that this Sunday the 13th September is the last of the year! If you are thinking of going you'll need to get your skates on or start to collect together stuff for when it resumes on the first Sunday of May next year. Happy bargain hunting.... report abuse...
