Following the recent snow and icy weather, many boroughs around the UK are facing the same demons: potholes and decrepit road surfaces.
No less round and about in Canterbury, and although KCC has assured us that they are tackling the problem, it may well be some time before many of the worst affected roads will be treated.
So I suppose we need to conjure up a mixture of patience and diligence. Drivers will need to drive accordingly, and be aware of potential hazards caused by the poor surfaces. We can also help however, by using the KCC report line 08458 247800 to report significant damage and potholes on Canterbury's roads.
My road in particular is pretty bad, although I am aware it's the weather recently that's caused most of the damage rather than any lack of care by the authorities. I will be patient, but they'd better sort it out before my rear axle drops off!
