Wheelsmart follow a proven wheel refurbishment process to ensure a durable 'as new' finish as summarised below,

Wheel Stripping, tyres are removed along with any weights and valves.

Chemical Stripping, the wheel is placed into chemical strip to remove old lacquer and basecoats. The wheel is then placed in an aqueous wash machine to remove any lasting paint and chemical remnants and then dried.

Blast cleaning, the cleaned, dry wheels are put through blast machine to prepare the surface for primer paint.

Damage Repairs, any damage, such as buckling, scuffing and kerb damage is now fully visible and can be repaired so the wheel is back to its original casting condition.

Pre-Heating, the wheel is heated for up to 30 minutes to remove all moisture to ensure a flawless paint finish.

Powder primer, the wheel is reheated to 210 degrees and powder primer is applied. This ensures a robust and ultra smooth, resilient basecoat.

Application of Colour, The paint used is the same as that of wheel manufacturers across the world to ensure quality of colour match. A complete range of colours are available including bespoke and custom finishes and combinations.

Clear Coat, Powder lacquer is applied to the entire wheel to provide protection from the elements and provide a high gloss level finish. This makes cleaning and maintenance quick and easy. This coat is stoved in the oven for 20 minutes to provide a full cure and crystal clear finish.

Refit Tyre, Tyres are refitted and balanced using stick on weights to avoid potential damage from knock on weights. Wheels left with vehicles are refitted and wheel nuts are torqued down to correct settings.
