More About BDF Newlife

BDF (Birth Defects Foundation) New Life is the leading child health and research charity in the UK. The charity, founded in 1991 by parents, doctors and business people started off as the Birth Defects Foundation and is concerned with providing direct help and care for sick and disabled babies, children and their families.

How They Help

At the moment the biggest threat to child health is inborn conditions which can be diseases, disorders and malformations which occur to babies before birth. New Life charity aims to help tackle the problems of these inborn conditions by funding medical research to understand, prevent and treat inborn conditions. The Charity also provides a nurse service to give support to affected families and provides direct grants to fund vital equipment and assistance.

Campaigning

Like every charity New Life is constantly campaigning to increase awareness of the cause. Their educational campaign Feeling Lucky provides an action plan for parents to be. Points such as stop smoking and drinking and taking folic acid are recommended to parents to help cut the risks of inborn conditions.

Used to be better. It's too disorganised now to look through the items. I think if a bit of time was taken to put things into reasonable order, they would sell a lot more. I realise customers mess things up, but it has put me off altogether at the moment as I live nearly 2 hrs away. Shame as it's for such a good cause.

Amazing visit, I brought suitcases in near perfect condition for under £15. 1 has a handle broken, which is fine. 1 had a very small mark, and the other 2 were perfect. Kids trainers under £5. Willbalwayd recommend a visit.
