I am here to help. My name is Ann Turfrey and I am a private tutor. I provide private tutoring around the Cannock area to anyone looking to solve problems with their Maths, English, Science or other National Curriculum subjects.

I am well qualified as a tutor with a degree in Mathematics (B.E'd Hons) with many years teaching experience both as a primary school teacher and as a private tutor. I continue to work as a Maths tutor for the Staffordshire University Maths Summer School. I also provide week long revision courses during school holidays before National Curriculum Key Stage 3 SATs and Key Stage 4 exams.
I have worked, and continue to work with a wide variety of people throughout the Cannock area. I tutor children from age 5 through to age 16 on any National Curriculum subject. Also I work with adults including classroom assistants who are required to complete a numeracy test by their education authority. My tutoring has also been used by Cannock employers to improve their staff's Maths and English skills.
EXCELLENT TEACHERS CAN MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE
In the past I have taught individual students on a one to one basis full time. One such example involved a student removed by her father from school and taught by me on a 1-1 tutoring basis, full time, at home, for the whole of her GCSE year. Although her predicted grades were Ds and Es, she achieved with me, Bs for her Maths and English and Cs for her Geography,Business Studies and Modular Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The student is now fulfilling her dream by doing a B. Tech. in Forensic Science at college.
