Every experience with this Chinese takeaway has been poor. they usually take well over and hour to deliver the food - they often lie about the delivery being on its way when I have chased it up. However I continued to use them as the food was always the tastiest - so I had a bit of a love hate relationship with the place. Until now I have discovered that their food hygiene rating (food standards agency) is 1...!! -YUK-
We ordered from here a few years ago and enjoyed the food, however we tried it recently and were disappointed by the quality. It's a shame because we need more choices for a good takeaway.
Standards have slipped. This establishment has been given a 1 star hygiene rating and I would therefore not eat from here again.
I used to love the food from this Chinese. It was always spot on. However recently i have found that the food i order contains so much pepper i can hardly eat it. It is so strong it overwhelms any other taste that may be present. This has been an issue over a range of meals but was particularly bad in the sweet and sour chicken balls or chicken bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. So disappointing as it used to be fab.

I had a Chinese takeaway from China Garden Express last weekend and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was ready exactly when stated. The meals were very tasty and the meat tender. I will definitely be using China Garden Express again and recommend it to all fellow Cannock residents.
