Taxi safety in the spotlight in festive campaign

Clearly identifiable in high visibility jackets, the trained and accredited marshals will provide a safe environment for people queuing for licensed taxis at the High Green rank in Cannock. They will be linked by radio to the Council’s CCTV operators and to local police officers.

The marshals will be on duty in Cannock town centre between 11pm and 3am on the following dates in December – Friday 17th, Saturday 18th, Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th, Sunday 26th, Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th and Friday 31st. They will also be on duty on Sunday 2nd January.

As part of the safety campaign, Cannock Chase Council has also urged revellers to make sure they use licensed taxis and private hire vehicles over the festive season.
