The Cannock Orbital ring road has seen a large number of accidents with local Cannock residents calling for action to be taken. The road is often used by bad boy racers in their barely road legal modified cars and the surface is often left slippy and unpredictable by waste from the tip and its traffic.
There was talk of introducing speed cameras onto the stretch to deter high speed driving which others claim may cause further problems with erratic braking and accelerating. Whatever is decided something needs to be done folliowing such a tragic loss of life.
