"I first met Ian at the Very Early Lunch Club, when I attended based on a colleague's recommendation. This networking group offers the following advantages- a good venue with great breakfast, a wide range of business represented at the meetings.There is a combination of structured networking and an educational slot with interesting and relevant speakers. Once a month is frequent enough to keep in touch with people - other groups meet once a week which soon becomes a bind.
Very Lively and well facilitated breakfast meeting. Very easy to get to, park with a great atmosphere. Great fun and a brilliant way to make new business connections.
It is the exchanging of ideas as it really motivates me to raise my game. Plus the fact there are some loveley people - it is very enjoyable

Having just got back from this mornings VELC I am still buzzing, what a fantastic meeting. A great job as always Ian I have never seen so many first time visitors the reputation is rightfully spreading. I am pleased to say that the Very Early Lunch Club has been the most productive of any networking groups that I have been to. The quality of the attendees, and also the quality of the speakers is second to none, this together with the relaxed atmosphere makes it something I look forward to attending.

As a keen networker myself and knowing Mr Ian Clemson and his team well, I was invited to attend a VELC meeting in June, what a fantastic event it was. For giving up two hours my day I was able to meet new business owners who like me want to see our businesses grow. Those that attended were treated to a presentation from the Chairman of Histon football club, his inspiration, determination and true grit was testament to his success. For anyone who is sceptical about networking or who doesn’t know the potential benefits that can be achieved from networking, should just give it a go. When I very first started networking over two years ago, it certainly opened my eyes and so my own business has purely grown due to recommendations from relationships that have been created through networking.
Having now attended four VELC meetings, I would just like to say that I have been very impressed not only with the quality of the meetings which have been excellent, but also the quality of the venue, it is second to none, as you are aware I attend many such meetings, but I can honestly say that VELC is a firm favourite, as you are aware I have forward booked this remaining meetings for this year to ensure my place and look forward to seeing next years’ listings.
I love the new venue. Although further to travel to, it is such a beautiful setting it relaxes all the visitors immediately. The new space enables a much larger group of people to get together who I have found to be so interesting and useful for my clients and my own business. The variety of speakers are stimulating, thought provoking and challenging. It is also a really safe environment for people who are new to networking to experience the friendliness of all the members of VELC I would certainly recommend it to people who are interested in learning and expanding their own business
I would like to congratulate Ian and his team for the quality of the VELC events. The speakers have been motivating and have delivered a clear message for business improvement.
The VELC is a really positive networking experience. The team at thebestof make sure that you’re introduced to interesting people, and the venue at Anglesey Abbey is a great place to start the day. I came away from the last event with two business contacts that I’m meeting with soon. I really enjoyed the talk by Gareth Baldwin too – a really inspirational guy.

Ian, thank you once again a fantastic breakfast event. I've attended the Very Early Lunch Club on a regular basis and I am so pleased to receive some excellent business directly from meeting other like minded business people. The topics and speakers are always informative, extremely interesting and I've had some great free professional advice. With so many other networking events in and around Cambridge and trying to fit in valuable time management then I'm glad the VELC has given me the platform to make new business associates and to continue many business friendships.

Thank you for arranging another super meeting on Friday, the table-changing system is really good and I thought Colin McLean's presentation was excellent. He really knows his stuff and is a very engaging presenter.
I'm just writing a quick note to say thank you for putting on such a good event today. I've been to quite a few networking meetings recently and was starting to feel a little jaded. This event was a refreshing change and the mixture of people was excellent. The venue was also of a high quality. I'm looking forward to the breakfast barbeque!

I had been meaning to get to a VELC meeting for months and months ... eventually made it, and what a fantastic event. The venue alone made the early rise worth it. I particularly liked the idea of 'table hopping' which ensured that we all met far more people than we could have just standing up and mingling. I do a fair amount of networking and this is one of the best events I've been to. I look forward to the next one!
