Last year I took on the services of JFP Strategic Planning to help improve and develop my business. At our first board meeting, we sat down to discuss what a strategic planner does and how he could help me.

After further monthly meetings, things began to make a lot of sense, from the first planning exercise we did last year, to learning new ways to implement data from bits of paper to Excel, This was always going to be a challenge for me, but John has been very patient and took the time to make sure I fully understood what I needed to do.

John has shown me what can be achieved as a soul trader and in using subcontractors, and how best to utilize their services to help benefit mine.
There is still a long way to go, but I’m confident with the constant help and support from John at JFP Strategic Planning, I will succeed in growing my business, to a positive end

I approached the JFP Business Energiser with some trepidation, initially thinking that it would not be as useful for me as it would be for a larger company with staff and internal politics. However I was turned around after the initial exercise, it gave me an incentive to achieve goals and focus to plan for the future of my company, and also a clear path for me to follow.
The Business Energiser does what it says on the tin, and I look forward to the following monthly planning board room meetings with renewed vigour for my business development.

We met JFP just over a year ago through Grant Thornton, who highly recommended their services. They were far more competitive in terms of cost and what they could offer really suited our needs. I think JFP act as leaders who are able to give clear direction as well as being a business friend, which every business needs. When JFP first met Servon, they were not untypical of many small businesses – reasonably profitable, with regular clients but with a desire to increase profitability and grow. They made us face up to what the real issues are rather that skirting around them. JFP has been a fantastic facilitator for us, really pulling us back on track. We communicate much more openly now and will happily sit down and brainstorm after any one of us has a client meeting. This allows us to up-sell much more too. We are now growing very successfully.

Most importantly they have given us a management structure. We now have monthly sales and marketing meetings and board meetings, that record regular information. Financially we also have a much clearer idea of exactly where we are, day to day. I feel that things are much tighter and neater than they were before.

Tough decisions are difficult to make when you are
so close to the business. Having someone that can tell
you what you need to do and if you don’t, what the
consequences will be, well that’s invaluable.
