Signs of a Recovery?
And now for some positive news!!
Apart from running the best of Caerphilly, I also run a business finance brokerage - MacManus Asset Finance - and this business deals with businesses from all industries helping them obtain asset finance and business finance.
Its no surprise that the downturn in the economy in the last 12 months has been reflected in a significant reduction in the amount of business enquiries we have seen, HOWEVER, despite this being the peak of Summer with holidays normally meaning that it is one of the quietest months of the year I have been amazed by the volume of new inquiries we are receiving this week.
This sudden burst of business may be in part down to our own strategies however I do believe that we cant take full credit for this, something else is happening, something positive and I am starting to feel that business across the board may have turned the corner - I am putting my head above the canopy and saying that whilst the economic problems aren't over, I believe the worst of it is behind us.
And, you know something else, 90% of the recession is all about psychology, if we believe there is a recession our actions will follow and create a recession, so now is the time for some positivity, not blind optimism, but based on real activities of positive business moves that I am seeing.
