Located right in the centre of Bury, only a minutes walk away from convenient public transport links, The Fusilier Museum tells the story of the Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of fusiliers tracing over 300 years of history. This is featured through exciting displays and a lively programme of exhibitions, activities and events. As one of Bury's best museums and charitable organisations, The Fusilier Museum houses an archive and library which are used for research.
The Fusilier Museum commemorates over 300 years of local history and heritage, holding special events and exhibitions to highlight its significance to Regiments past, present and future. As well as being one of Bury's best museums and charitable organisations, The Fusilier Museum is also a premier tourist attraction, providing an important new facility for the local community. As the Lancashire Headquarters of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and the Army Careers Information Office share the new building, The Fusilier Museum is truly a focal point for the Regiment.
Several of the excellent facilities at The Fusilier Museum are available for hire, including the large education rooms and panelled boardroom. These rooms are ideal for seminars, meetings, with equipment such as digital projectors and a wi-fi connection provided. The Fusilier Museum combines traditional and modern aspects, making it the perfect venue for all functions.
Hero's Cafe bar at The Fusilier Museum is open to the public without any admission charges, offering the perfect place to meet with friends or family. A wi-fi connection is also available for customers at the cafe bar, which overlooks Gallipoli Garden, the museum and the art gallery. Hero's cafe bar at The Fusilier Museum serves speciality tea, coffee, delicious cakes and home cooked food. All food is freshly prepared and uses locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Opening Times
Monday - Sunday from 10am to 4pm daily.
The Museum will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Sunday 27th December, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
