We love the east Lancs Railway! As a family with two young children it is often difficult at weekends to come up with new ways of keeping them entertained so it's great to have this gem right on our doorstep. There is nothing that they enjoy more than a trip on the train over to Rawtenstall and back, pointing out landmarks and the animals in the fields. They love it. My son Jamie is also a big Thomas the Tank Engine fan and he constantly asks me when he can go back and see him again after the last time he came to town. We visit about once every couple of months and the children never tire of their trip out. I'd heartily recommend it to anyone with young children or even the kids amongst you.
