As one of the UK's leading charitable organisations, Mind is a force for change. By campaigning to promote and protect mental well being for all, Mind aim to create a society where people who are experiencing mental distress are treated fairly, positively and with respect.
Both a local and national network, Mind work in Bury and the UK, helping over 250,000 people a year. Mind offer a varied range of services, taking into account all types of mental distress. Mind listen to those suffering from mental distress and make sure their voices, which otherwise may be ignored, are heard by those can influence change. Mind actively challenge discrimination and demand higher standards for mental healthcare in Bury and throughout the UK, making them one of the UK's most proactive charitable organisations.
Mind have played an important role in changing how our mental health is viewed and cared for, reflected in their role in achieving:
