Like so many other people that I know, having been affected even indirectly by cancer is a terrible experience. Macmillan cancer support have recently assisted a friend who had no idea of the help and support she was able to receive from this truly wonderful team of professionals. This even came down to the simple knowledge that she could re claim parking fees at the hospital which are an extremely costly expense when there is little income into the home. The fact that she is able to talk to someone on a regular basis about how she feels and about treatment and medication is an absolute godsend to her. Macmillan are fantastic people.
