Having had a great job done on an extension a couple of years ago, we went back to Horizon for an interior knock-through project. Our experience was the same - great work, always well informed and Mark & Jordan were a pleasure to have around.

From our first meeting with Mark and Jordan from Horizon we knew they were right for us and they didn't disappoint.
The project was not easy but they took it in their stride, on the odd occasion an issue arose they came to us with solutions and not problems.
We found them hardworking, pleasant, trustworthy and tidy, they were always happy to spend time explaining what they were doing and gave us regular updates on planned works ahead.
The level of workmanship achieved on our two storey extension is first class and we are delighted with our new space.

This is second time I've used Scott & Mark at Horizon developments, they did such a great job on the internal work in my new home so it seemed a 'no brainer' to get them back asap for the external stuff, i cannot recommend them highly enough. The are both pleasant, helpful blokes who work quickly & very efficiently to a fantastic standard & for very reasonable prices too!! Work done included removal of internal walls & fitting 2 RSJ's, all new fencing and decking externally and a new double driveway in place of the existing single drive & lawn. Its all looking neat, tidy and i can't wait to be able to put my car on it and get some lovely pots & flowers out there.

Recently had a new decking area fitted by horizon development, I couldn't recommend them highly enough! So pleased with the finished job, they advised us on different options and layout, and the price was very reasonable, this is the 3rd time we have used the company and wouldn't hesitate for future jobs

I would recommend Horizon Developments. They have recently completed a cloakroom extension to my property and I was impressed by their service from start to finish. They provided a competitive quote, started on time and kept to advised timescales. It was a huge help that they managed and arranged all appointments with the Building Inspector and also with a number of excellent trades people from bricklayers and plumbers to electricians.
The project was clean and tidy throughout and finished on time. The whole team were personable and I would highly recommend Horizon Builders.

Having got rid of an old and tired looking porch wanted to replace with new modern triangular roofed one in keeping with the house's 1920/30's character. Used Mark and Scott before when we bought the house so had no hesitation in using them once more and again the quote was very reasonable. They haven't changed (except Mark is a fair bit slimmer) and the job was done to the same high standard as I expected. Builders who actually put a full day in and keep you informed of progress plus a bit of a perfectionist, which is always good for the customer. Very pleased with the end result. Would again recommend.

Our first contact with Scott and Mark didn't get off to a good start. We had arranged a date and time for them to come and give an estimate and promptly slept through our alarm call so was in bed when they arrived!! Oops.What we liked straight away was their reliability. Coming every day promptly at 8am unless they had material to collect then they would let us know. They soon found out that our own garden design was going to be challenging for all of us. Funny angles! Mark just loved them!They also found out how much of a detail person I was so made sure we were consulted at every stage of construction.There were a few extras to the origional estimate but we were notifed as they occured.Their attention to detail was excellent as was their workmanship. Sues home made chocolate brownies went down a treat! They were with us for over 4 weeks and we knew every day what they were doing. An amazing 40 tons of soil was moved from the driveway! I'm sure a 747 would have no problem landing on it. So we have a unique front and back garden comprising of sleeper walls, polished Indian stone patio and path, composite decking and land drains laid ready for an artificial lawn (installed by others). Driveway prepared ready for tarmacing (done by others) with a block paving border. No hesitation in recommending Scott and Mark. Garden viewings welcomed.

Our 2nd job off horizon development, cannot recommend them highly enough! So pleased with the finish work, they are very knowledgable, friendly and professional. Even went out of their way to source a better turf for our lawn as they weren't happy with a local suppliers quality, always clean/tidy workers and on time which is rare for most tradesmen :-)

Horizon developments did a great job of transforming my garden and patio. Scott and Mark were professional and friendly throughout the whole process from initially coming to assess the job, to giving me a quotation, to completing the work. The price was very reasonable and the work was completed to a very high standard, I would (and already have!) recommended them to others.

Having used Best of Bury before and been very happy with the results I came straight back when I needed a builder. In order to prepare for a new kitchen, I needed an existing fire place in an exposed brick feature wall increasing in size to take a larder unit. While not the biggest building project, I had very specific size and cosmetic requirements. Horizon Developments understood exactly what was required and did a first class job achieving everything I had asked for. 100% satisfied.

Horizon Developments have just completed an extension to the rear of our property which took approximately 3 months and we are delighted with the results. The initial quotation was very detailed with a schedule of payment which helped our budget planning. Scott & Mark were very professional and courteous, worked to a high standard and have excellent attention to detail. The site was kept tidy with limited disruption to our garden. They liaised directly with Building Control and were able to offer solutions to technical problems as and when they arose during the project. We would highly recommend Horizon and have recommended them already to friends. We will be contacting Scott & Mark again to quote for a patio later on in the year.

From getting an initial quotation through to completing the job - which was the conversion of an attached garage into an office & shower room - Scott & Mark have been thoroughly professional, friendly and worked to the highest standards. The quotation we received was detailed and had a payment schedule as the work progressed. Throughout the project, we were kept informed, and the few changes that came up during the work were dealt with quickly and effectively. The end result is something we could not be more pleased with and finished to an excellent standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Horizon Developments as a great local building company who deliver what they commit to in the most professional manner.

1920's semi in major need of refurbishment - new electrics, heating, plastering, walls knocking down - RSJ's installed, some new windows and French doors. Always a bit worrying if you don't know any builders and the ones recommended either not interested or way too expensive. Decided to go with Mark & Scott which thankfully turned out to be one of my better decisions. Being an old house, lots of issues but both totally honest about what was involved and how to fix. Always kept informed of progress and not afraid to advise on a better/cheaper way, and pointed out the little things you just don't think of. Payments split so you only pay for what is done as the project progresses. Work is of a high standard, on time and was always tidy at the end of each day including sub-Contractors. Couple of up front builders doing a good job for a reasonable price with whom you can have a chat and a bit of a laugh with. Would definitely recommend.

Just had Horizon to build our Utility extension on the kitchen. I cannot praise them enough. Their work is first class. Turned up when they said they would and worked very hard. We are thrilled to bit with the quality of their work. Excellent price too. We will have them again that's for sure!

Horizon was recommended by a neighbour, and I'm so glad I listened. Scott and Mark carried out two jobs, and I was impressed by their thoroughness and the quality of their work. Just had a patio and drive laid by Horizon, the patio being Indian sandstone and the drive block paving. Scott and Mark were extremely reliable, always coming when they said they would and worked very hard and onobtrusively the whole time. They were good people to have around. The work included a large amount of excavation to get the levels and gradients right and the whole work was to a very high standard. We're very pleased with the results and would recommend them highly.

Over the past month Scott & Mark have carried out four improvements to the highest standards. Two jobs were outside, involving removing trees, replacing fencing and posts, paving with India Stone and a massive area of block paving. Top quality work in every way. Two 'inside' jobs were: creating French Doors from an ordinary window, and replacing two Velux widows in the roof. Again, great work. The guys are friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. They are prepared to work in rain or shine, and stay on the job until it is finished. A* recommendation!

Scott and Mark have carried out a kitchen extension to our house, including removing internal walls to make a large open plan space. Horizon have just completed a total renovation of my bungalow both inside and out. I am totally thrilled with the finished work. They have completely transformed the outside with indian stone paving and also block paving . It was a huge undertaking but they have made a wonderful job of it. Thanks guys for all your hard work. Horizon Developments have completed a full renovation and extension of my bungalow and I couldn't be happier with the high standard of the work they have done and the manner in which they have done it. My neighbours have commented that Mark and Scott have been thoughtful and courteous throughout which is rare to find in builders nowadays. Can't recommend them highly enough and will be using them for further work outside the bungalow too.

Scott and Mark recently added a porch to our house and installed uPVC guttering, fascias and soffits. They returned our phone calls and emails promptly, turned up when they said they would, kept us up-to-date with their progress, kept the outside areas where they were working tidy and safe and made sure we were 100% satisfied with their work. In short, they did a fantastic job. Having used and endured (!) other builders in the past, we won't hesitate to use Horizon Developments again in the future.
