Senior Hargreaves has received training services from Bury College for over five years and in excess of 400 of our staff have benefited from their expertise. Now that we have completed the latest Business Improvement Techniques (BIT), Level 2 training, which was undertaken by 92 of our employees, I could not let the opportunity pass without thanking you and your colleagues. lt was exactly what we werelooking for and fitted perfectly with our current and future plans as we continue our journey down the lean manufacturing route. The training staff demonstrated an excellent standard of delivery andfeedback from our staff is always positive. They were particularly good communicators and bonded very quickly with our employees. Cormar Carpets has been working with Bury College as the provider of our NVQ Programme in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) since the beginning of 2010. They have to date trained our entire manufacturing workforce (80 in total), to either a Level 2 or Level 3, in this discipline. The practical application of the BIT programme has generated significant financial and cultural benefits to the organisation, which is underpinned by Bury College's experienced, hands on trainers. The feedback we have received from our employees suggests theyfeel energised and engaged by the process and this has certainly helped the development of lean practices on site. To enable our employees the opportunity to acquire a nationally recognised qualification has been extraordinarily well received by them also. I would recommend Bury College as an excellent training provider to work with. They are flexible with their approach, fitting the training around our operational constraints, whilst maintaining a high level of customer focus. We have used Bury College for support on many occasions. Many of our young staff went thru the apprenticship scheme, NVQ in customer services whilst the more senior have attended H&S, FAW and ECDL training. Extremely friendly knowledgable staff, good learning environment and great value for money!
