Updates - Developments on The Rock
I'm not sure if I'm the only who has been watching with fascination as the new building work on The Rock takes shape and no longer looks like an empty shell. I still think this is a great opportunity for Bury; whilst we already some great shops and attractions we need to be bringing big name brands and accessible entertainment into the mix to send shoppers our way!
The £350 million development on The Rock is certainly what Bury needs, especially if you love shopping, or don't want to go to Pilsworth to see a film or go bowling. H & M (which I love!) and Peacocks are the latest large retailers to sign up to the new development and they will be joining the likes of Debenhams, Next, River Island, Pizza Express, Vue Cinemas, Primark, Marks and Spencer and AMF Bowling. An excellent 70% of the available 1.6 million square ft space has already been let and I can see this development increasing Bury's vibrancy and attractiveness as a town.
