I was listening to Galaxy Radio station the other morning and believe it or not they had a call in session dedicated to helping people save petrol!.
I know myself that I'm spending more than double what I use to on petrol and from the sounds of it so is everybody else. I must admit when I was listening to the radio, I was trying to listen out for decent suggestions (by that I mean not having to shave body hair to make yourself lighter!) and there was a few I thought may have some effect on my petrol consumption. Mostly it was suggestions such as make sure your tyres are full, drive at 56 mph (for some reason this is the best speed to save petrol,
but obviously not suitable for every road), drive in 5th gear and apparently petrol is more dense in the morning (don't quote me on that!).
So it got me wondering..................are we all trying tactics to save petrol?
And if yes, is there any better suggestions than these? (or atleast better than tail gating vans as they brake the wind resistance for you and keep you at a lower speed!?!?)
So please share your petrol saving tips or any daft suggestions you may have heard!
