Families across the land can now enjoy a taste of Bury with the launch of a new book to be launched on Bury Market.
Local people have helped to compile Bury Family Recipes, a unique local book inspired by mums, dads and grandparents who live in Bury.
The book celebrates the sharing of favourite family recipes and also the use of local produce in Bury. It contains a collection of straightforward, delicious, inexpensive and inspiring recipes.
Bury Family Recipes has been funded through Communities for Health and put together by Community Services Bury.
The Mayor of Bury, Cllr John Byrne, will officially launch the book on 12 March at Bury Market, with chef Noel Goulding. A limited number of books will be given out on the day (from 10am to 2pm), and will then be available free from local children's centres. An online version of the book will also be available at www.bury.nhs.uk/recipebook
