What is Workwise?
Workwise is an emerging Social Firm with additional craft and training facilities, providing work-based rehabilitation for adults who are recovering from various forms of mental health problems.
Workwise runs as a small business offering trainees the opportunity to gain qualifications in a variety of fields including business administration, information technology, art & craft design and production, woodwork, engraving, CNC technology, ID badge production, computerised embroidery and process manufacturing.
Worklink is our specialist employment facility offering a job matching service and on-going support for trainees and employers.
The overall objective of Workwise is to enable trainees to progress through into open employment and social integration by building confidence, regaining self-esteem and acquiring new skills and qualifications
Workwise aims to break down the stigma associated with mental health problems by giving people the opportunity to gain independence, qualifications, skills and a positive attitude towards moving on into employment, further education or voluntary work.
Our Aims
Workwise's’ main aims are:
- To successfully develop and train people with short and long term mental health problems in a genuine business environment and to encourage self-esteem and personal development.
- To help develop independence, social skills and a positive attitude towards moving on into paid employment and/or further education/voluntary work.
- To offer help in securing work experience and eventual employment wherever relevant, with the assistance of Worklink, our specialist employment service.
The overall objective of Workwise is to enable trainees to progress through into open employment and social integration by building confidence, regaining self-esteems and obtaining skills and qualifications.
PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS HAVE MUCH TO OFFER, THEY JUST NEED A CHANCE TO PROVE IT.
