I went for lunch today and, again, had a great time. The food and service are both brilliant., the decor is comfortable and stylish. The wine list is award winning (try the great value wine flights) and the home brew beers are superb!
Love sitting by the fire with a glass of red wine in this fab pub. Great food and great service.

The staff are always attentive and charming, its a great atmosphere and as a wine lover the list of 40 wines by the glass is super, I cannot fail to recommend folks to this venue for quality and style as well as a friendly smile and roaring fire in the winter

Another great evening at the One Bull in Bury. Super atmosphere always. great beers and wines and snacks. Next week for lunch. Glad it is one of the top places to eat in Bury St Edmunds.
With such a great wine list I was worried I'd be disappointed by the food. But not so. Had a declicious pie and a wonderful big glass of a French Pinot Noir. Perfect.
Being Canadian and new to the area we visit all teh bars on the Best of and love them all... but we particularly like the chilled out zones and the wine list here.
Every time I stay with my parents we go to the One Bull. I live in the South of England and I can't think of ONE gastro pub in my area that has got it right as this one has... Amazing food and a great load of beers and wines.
Delicious food in a fabulous environment. We love the sofas by the fire at this time of year.
For a wine drinker it has great selection at a variety of prices, the staff are always nice and friendly, the food is well priced, local and seasonal. They also seve champagne by the glass and real ale drinkers will love the guest ales.Well worth a look and well worth a visit.
Great range of wines and beers, lovely staff who are always helpful. Interesting and changing menu. The food locally sourced, beautifully cooked, and well presented. You can just go in for a drink/coffee and a chat, a quick snack, or a leisurely meal. Love the ambience and the friendly atmosphere.

Wow! We had a fabulous meal and evening at The One Bull last night. The food was excellent and was presented so well - a feast for the senses. As it was a Saturday night, it was extremely busy yet the staff handled it brilliantly and so professionally. In a busy restaurant, they had the knack (and the training) to make us feel as though we were the only people there and that they had all the time in the world for us. Highly recommended and I am now looking forward to my next meal there a little later this month.
The reason I love the One Bull is because I'm a bit of a foodie and this Pub always delivers delicious food. Most recently I've discover their home made chicken and mushroom pies. I dont know whats in the sauce that comes with it but its amazing! I'm in danger of getting addicted!

Love the roaring fire, comfy leather sofas and the £6.00 soup and sandwich lunch deal. Can never find enough excuses to hold an informal lunchtime meeting there!
Every meal I've had at The One Bull has been great. Fantastic roast beef on a Sunday and excellent service too.
The food is lovely - a mixture of nice pub grub with some more unusual dishes thrown in and using local produce. All really well cooked and presented - delicious! The atmosphere is great too with lots of space for those who just want to come in for a few drinks. Staff are extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommended!
The Cadogan is a country take on the One Bull, with the same great mix of drinking, relaxing and eating. The added bonus, for those of us with children or grandchildren, is a great garden with play equipment. The pub also has letting rooms which are comfortable, clean and modern. We love to go on a summer evening and sit on the deck with our drinks.... in the winter we can lounge in front of the open fire. Well done again David!
What a lovely atmosphere in the One Bull - we can go in for a drink, relax with a coffee and a snack or have a meal in the comfort of the restaurnat area. This is what Bury has been missing for years. Well done David, you have a great team, an excellent menu, great wine list, the whole place has a real buzz.....long, long may it last.

I have been to the one bull on several occasions, always welcomed. Pleased with seasonal foods.so much so that I held my 60th birthday lunch there,on New Years Day for 30. Every body was well impressed with the one bull atmosphere and the meal.David could not have been more helpful.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. The place has a real buzz about it. You can have a drink at the bar, relax in the lounge area or have a meal in the restaurant - great place - just what Bury needed!
Excellent menu, good service, clean and comfortable interior, great garden for the children. Bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and well looked after. Would highly recommend.
We think it is great what David and his team have achieved here.There is a big garden with a terrace and substantial wooden garden furniture.We now know exactly where to come and sunbathe, especially if the grandchildren come to stay. There is the most wonderful wooden safe climbing frame and adventure playground there.What an asset and only 5 minutes by car from Bury St Edmunds.
This is the best place to go in Bury St Edmunds. Whether it is for a coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner. My husband and I are regulars and find the staff very friendly and welcoming. We love the food which ranges from sharing platters & sandwiches to oysters & mains. Definately worth a visit.
It was the best news of the year to see the One Bull reopen with such style and giving Bury St Edmunds something to shout about.The food is superb, whether just a sandwich or something from the restaurant menu... always well presented and cooked beautifully. The oysters and prosecco option was also great fun and just a bit different.The wine list is well chosen and offeres something for everyone.Suffice to say we are regulars.
