For the Bury St Edmunds Past and Present Society the a website is our most important asset. It brings the Society to the attention of a wide audience and it has proved a key element in our success in securing lottery funding directed to the proper safeguarding, archiving and captioning of the Spanton/Jarman/Clarke collection of photographic negatives. All this information is now accessible, in a very user friendly way, to scholars and members of the public who are interested in the history of Bury St Edmunds.
