At The Ickworth Hotel in Bury St Edmunds Frederick's Restaurant is an outstanding modern cuisine restaurant set in an 18th century building. From the restaurant there are splendid views over immaculately tended lawns, hedges and vistas of the Italian gardens. Our hotel is in the East Wing of Ickworth House, a private house set in over 1800 acres of parkland, which was gifted to the National Trust in the 1950's.
Under head chef Nick Claxton-Webb, superb food and fine wine is served in the former family dining rooms. A candlelit dinner is a sophisticated and adult-only affair. The menu offers modern European cuisine with a leaning towards the traditional.
Menus change seasonally and we serve locally sourced fresh food wherever possible.

The Grand Conservatory
The perfect place for family meals, The sunshine filled Grand Conservatory is a great place to admire the surrounding parkland over creative but simple dishes for the whole family. Children are amply catered for, with their own two course lunch and sumptious buffet supper of wholesome and nutritious food.

Dinner served from 6pm - 9.30pm

Perfect, for example, if you are planning a family celebration, The Ickworth Hotel has a number of private dining rooms suitable for any size of party.
The Chinese Room seats up to 8 and has walls lined with the original hand painted paper that is over 150 years old.
The Board Room caters for 20 - 30, and The Library up to 40 for dinner or a champagne reception.
